I began the day at the clients house around 10 AM. He wanted a Denon receiver hooked up to 5 to 1 surround in his living room with his 70 inch Samsung TV on the wall. Two of the speakers were ceiling mounts and the three front speakers were wall mounts.
The client also wanted to connect his Xbox, Blu-ray DVD player, Amazon fire stick, and Apple TV to the system.
I had to run a 50 ft HDMI cable and hundreds of feet of wiring through the ceiling and down the walls.
In addition, he wanted two more ceiling speakers in his office running off the receiver.
So in total, I installed seven speakers as well as a subwoofer, and all the components for the home.
Needless to say, it ended up being more than a 12 hour day and we worked together through the evening to get the home finished.
The biggest issue was the low pitch in the roof in the attic space. I had about 2 to 3 feet of head room to work with in the attic, and the pitch got so narrow at the edges of the house that I literally had less than a foot to work in.
Running the wiring in that space really beat me up, but in the end it was worth it.
I installed amazing sound for his home. cleaned up the look of the space, and everything is completely wired up for the next several years and he’s extremely grateful for the amount of work that went into the house to get it right.
It was a pleasure meeting this client and I look forward to helping him in the future if with any other installs.
